She is truly one-of-a-kind and has always been there for me, answering questions and offering advice. • Lisa Bayer and LMR Elder Care have been exceptional in helping my family navigate a rapid decline in our parent’s health. She directed us in finalizing legal issues, advocating for our parents in the hospital as well as in doctors’ offices. She helped us to coordinate help for my dad at home on multiple occasions. She is always available to answer questions and give unbiased advise. She is reliable and has a clear understanding of the wants and the needs of people in the later stage of life. Lisa’s years of extensive knowledge and understanding have guided us to think of options and in directions we would never have considered on our own. When we are  feeling lost and confused Lisa is able to steer us in the right path with her extensive understanding of the elderly. Beyond Grateful!

  • Lisa Bayer from LMR Elder Care has directly improved the quality of life for my sister and equally for me, her guardian.  My sister became disabled from a brain aneurysm and stroke in her 50s and lives in a group home.  With our whole family living in different states, it became much harder for us to be with my sister as much as we would like.  Lisa is truly our "feet on the street" for visiting my sister, as well as assessing her situation on an on-going basis.  Lisa brings an extended care-team approach and navigates the delicate balance of checking-in on her without intimidating the regular staff.  She quickly built a great relationship with my sister as well as the aides in the home.  In addition to her visits, Lisa provides council in many areas ranging from legal to insurance to medical considerations.  She is an effective sounding board for me when I am addressing these issues and provides very helpful input.  Finally, Lisa's broad experience and network of contacts in the industry make all the difference when navigating the day to day challenges and responsibilities of caring for a loved one.

It is a pleasure and a relief to have Lisa on our team who lightens our burden with her effective and compassionate care.

  • It is rare to find someone with as much dedication as Lisa for her clients.  She has saved our family TWICE.  For example, Dad was incorrectly being held in quarantine because a rehab center had lost his covid records.  Lisa took me by the hand.  She led me back into the facility and assisted in removing Dad’s isolation.  A year later another incident occurred.  A hospital was using high pressure to discharge Dad, but we knew that this time, he could not return home.  Lisa once again came to the rescue.  I was able to visit 4-local options within one day and find a safe place.

  • My experience with LMR Elder Care has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I reached out, Lisa has been providing compassionate support and expert guidance as my family navigate the complexities of my father's dementia. Her dedication to providing personalized care and unwavering commitment to our father's well-being have been truly invaluable. I cannot recommend LMR Eldercare highly enough for anyone in need of compassionate and reliable eldercare services.

  • My husband, Jim, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. We tried to manage his problems, at home, for 4 years. About this time, I had the good fortune to meet Lisa Bayer. Lisa could see immediately that I was struggling with Jim’s care. I was not sleeping properly and never seemed to have any time to myself. I conferred with Lisa concerning how to continue managing this unmanageable situation. This proved to be the best thing I could have done. Lisa advised me of the options available to us and exactly how to deal with the long term insurance policy we had purchased years earlier. With her help, I found a daycare situation for Jim that gave me some much needed relief. She helped me take action when I would have procrastinated. She made me feel as if I were not alone in this battle. She was always there to take my calls and get answers to my questions. Over the past few years, I have recommended Lisa to friends and family. She is an excellent resource and has become a wonderful friend.

  • I found Lisa Bayer through a contact in the Aging Life Care Association (ALCA) professional group. In mid 2020, when COVID was everywhere and no vaccines were available, my mom's cognitive decline began. Among other things that went by the wayside during the 15 months I could not see Mom, were payment of many bills, including her long-term care insurance policy premiums. When I was able to see Mom in person in mid 2021, and assess the extent and impact of her decline, I had to get her affairs back in order asap. #1 on my list was to restore the lapsed LTC policies. Lisa was tireless on my behalf and thought of things I could never have done on my own. The fact that against all odds, the insurance company restored Mom's policies speaks well for Lisa's advice and wise counsel. She gave me great feedback on the letters I wrote and was fast and specific and responsive to work with. I'm so grateful to have had her on my team.

  • Many thanks to you both. I just want to let you know that of all the interactions and contacts I have developed over the past half a year or so in trying to take the best care of my mother, you have been the most responsive and pleasant partners that we have had the good fortune of working with!

  • Lisa Bayer & Heidi Schnapp are our lifeline, our loving, local legs, present for our mother as my sister and I care for her from across miles. They are kind and knowledgeable, resourceful and present. When Lisa or Heidi shows up for a visit or medical appointment, Mom smiles and is comfortable, we are calm and grateful, knowing that we have trusted, respectful partners who understand our mother and us. We couldn't do this without them!

  • Throughout the process of dealing with a difficult relative, Lisa and Heidi demonstrated a high level of professionalism and compassion. Their services were instrumental in guiding their client from independent living thru stays in the hospital, rehab facility and ultimately in a memory care only facility that was the perfect landing spot. I can highly recommend their services.

  • Lisa Bayer was invaluable in guiding our family through my brother’s care in the hospital during Covid. She helped me effectively advocate for him through a scary prognosis and I could not have navigated the process without her support both emotionally and professionally. As my brother’s medical power of attorney during covid, verbal communication was all I had, and Lisa’s expertise and knowledge of the hospital process empowered me to ask the right questions and understand the level of care to expect and demand. When his hospital care was coming to an end, she helped to ensure that he would be discharged to an appropriate and equipped rehab facility, avoiding alternative options with less one to one specialized care, which he required. Lisa went above and beyond in supporting me and my family through my brothers case. Her honesty and compassion allowed me to feel optimistic throughout my brothers care and I am so grateful to have had her as a trusted resource!

  • Lisa and Heidi are deeply committed to their clients and clients’ families. They utilize their extensive knowledge of aging and the eldercare network to meet their clients’ needs.  As a professional, it is a pleasure to work with colleagues like Lisa and Heidi who have a collaborative approach that always focuses on the best interest of their clients.

  • Lisa Bayer and Heidi Schnapp were outstanding in assisting a family member and myself when she was in crisis. It was a living nightmare. They navigated many difficult chapters of my loved one's health crisis. When my loved one had multiple hospital stays and rehabilitation, they ran interference with the hospital and doctors. It was a very difficult situation and extremely stressful for me as primary caregiver. They were so adept and so professional. They provided counsel as to next steps and their understanding of the medical system, Medicaid and Medicare is outstanding. I am happy to say that due to their devotion and patience we are all in a much better place, somewhere I could never have imagined six months ago.  I give them a resounding A+ rating.  And I will be forever grateful.

  • You were so wonderful and understanding during my time of need.  Life can be emotional and frustrating when someone you love is sick and dying. You were there to support me, listen to me, and discuss various options. I could not have handled understanding how to use his already-prepared legal documents or dealing with the banks and the insurance companies, because I was emotional, exhausted, drained, and not thinking clearly. Thank you so much for working with me during and after my husband's death.

  • Heidi has been an invaluable asset to the YMCA.  She has enabled us to provide much needed support to our senior and chronically ill populations, in a way we could have never accomplished on our own.

-Kathy Fisher, Chief Executive Officer, Randolph YMCA

  • We found Lisa to be extremely knowledgeable and compassionate when seeking her guidance on the care of my father.  Oftentimes family members are too close to the situation to fully appreciate what’s in their parent’s best interest.  Lisa’s excellent unbiased and accurate assessment, as well as her emotional support,  proved to be invaluable.
