Providing peace of mind for older adults and their loved ones

WE ARE PROBLEM SOLVERS

Since 2006, our clients and their trusted advisors have looked to us for answers and advocacy when they need assistance identifying, locating and coordinating the best and most appropriate support services available. We work with you to create a customized plan of action. And because we are not affiliated with any hospital system, insurance company, home care agency or assisted living facility, you can be sure the guidance we offer is completely objective. Your best interest is our only interest.

WHEN TO CONSIDER LMR ELDER CARE

  • Do you want your loved ones to live as safely and independently as possible with the quality of life they deserve?

LISA BAYER

Lisa is an Attorney, Board-certified Case Manager and Certified by the Aging Life Care Association as an Advanced Professional. She uses her legal and social service experience to advocate on behalf of her clients and their families.

While not currently practicing law, attorneys and other professionals appreciate Lisa’s understanding of the legal process and find it easy to work with her when the case involves complicated legal matters, such as guardianships.

Before attending law school, Lisa was a case manager with Boston Senior Home Care, a non-profit organization overseen by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs. Upon earning her law degree, Lisa worked with MFY Legal Services in New York City, specializing in Social Security law.

It was while at MFY that Lisa learned first hand what it means to be a caregiver when both her father and grandmother were diagnosed with cancer at the same time. Her father is not only a survivor of non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, but an active leader of the Lymphoma Research Foundation. Sadly, her grandmother passed of Leukemia. This life experience served as a catalyst for founding LMR Elder Care.

HEIDI RINSKY SCHNAPP, MA, CSW, CWP

Heidi, who co-founded LMR Elder Care in 2006, has been involved in the field of social service and advocacy for over 25 years. She began her professional career coordinating programs to benefit frail and vulnerable older adults and those with disabilities at the Essex County Division of Citizen Services. As Senior Staff Therapist at Irvington Counseling Center, Heidi treated people across the lifespan suffering from mental illness. Heidi also served the vulnerable elder population while at Jewish Family Services (JFS) of MetroWest.

In 2011, Heidi went to work for Saint Barnabas Medical Center to launch their Wellness Institute at the JCC MetroWest. While at Saint Barnabas, Heidi identified a community need and built a new hospital initiative for people living with Parkinson’s disease. Heidi not only wrote the grant, she developed programming, support groups and an exercise partnership with the JCC for Parkinson’s patients and their loved ones. Heidi’s initiative caught the attention of the Michael J Fox Foundation and has expanded to other hospitals within the RWJ Barnabas Health system.

After a life-changing journey as a breast cancer survivor, Heidi has enthusiastically rejoined her founding partner Lisa Bayer at LMR Elder Care.
